Why Certified Payroll Came Out on Top
If you’re doing any public works, prevailing wage, or federally funded construction, you already know why. Certified payroll is:
- Mandatory — no certified payroll, no payment
- Complex — different wage determinations per jurisdiction, fringe benefit calculations, multi-trade classifications
- Time-consuming — WH-347 preparation and filing can consume 12–15 hours of back-office staff time per week on a typical multi-project portfolio
